Cotswold Canals Walk
The Stroudwater and Thames & Severn Canals traverse some of the most beautiful parts of the English countryside, rich in mills and flowing water for the once prosperous woollen industry. For almost 50 miles from the bank of the severn to the Thames at Lechlade, the Cotswold Canals Walk follows the line of these old canals, sometimes directly on the towpath, past scenes redolent of industrial archaeology, at others on fieldpaths through pastoral countryside.
The route is via Eastington, Wallbridge, Brimscombe, Chalford, Daneway, Sapperton, Thameshead, Upper Siddington, Cerney Wick, Latton, Down Ampney, Marston Meysey, Kempsford, Lechlade.
