Welcome Way
The Welcome Way in Yorkshire is a 28-mile circular route designed to link the communities of Otley, Burley-in-Wharfedale and Baildon. The route is made up of 3 continuous sections of 11, 10 and 7 miles respectively, each with its own distinct character and public transport connections.
The Welcome Way takes you through stunning moorland landscapes, alongside rivers and reservoirs, across farmland, through woodland and local communities, affording you an unforgettable experience of an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Otley Market Square to Covey Hall Farm - 2.8 miles
Covey Hall Farm to Hall Lane - 1.9 miles
Hall Lane to Denton - 2.6 miles
Denton to Sun Lane rail crossing - 3.4 miles
Sun Lane rail crossing to Holme Park rail crossing - 1.8 miles
Holme Park rail crossing to Stocks Hill - 1.2 miles
Stocks Hill to Weecher Reservoir - 2.8 miles
Weecher Reservoir to Glovershaw Lane - 1.7 miles
Glovershaw Lane to Baildon Hill - 2.1 miles
Baildon Hill to Tong Park Dam - 1.7 miles
Tong Park Dam to Esholt - 1.6 miles
Esholt to Guiseley - 1.6 miles
Guiseley to Royalty public house - 2 miles
Royality public house to Otley - 1.4 miles
The guidebook includes Ordnance Survey 1:25000 scale full colour mapping with the route clearly highlighted by a corridor of two red lines bounding the OS green path line, but not obscuring it.
